Chali 2na of the legendary Jurassic 5 and solo artist extraordinaire and former Stones Throw artist Roc C from Oxnard have recently formed a group called "Ron Artiste", with a free mixtape dropped in July, and an August album release called "R.I.D.S." on KashRoc Entertainment. Ron Artiste takes its name from Los Angeles Lakers basketball player Ron Artest, who is now known as Meta World Peace, and the album is annoucned to feature appearances of King Tee, The Alchemist, Krondon, Oh No, Rapper Big Pooh, LMNO and Casual, amongst a few others.

Chali 2na has done it all. From his days growing up on the hardscrabble streets of Chicago’s south side, to his subsequent explosion onto Los Angeles’ burgeoning hip-hop scene, to his tenure as MC for seminal hip-hop group Jurassic 5, Chali epitomizes the portrait of a 21st century artist. To be sure, with his unmistakable, beloved baritone, Chali has firmly established himself as one of the most distinctive, charismatic personalities not just in hip-hop, but music in general. He has released four albums with Jurassic 5, as well as his solo album "Fish Outta Water" in 2009, amongst various other releases. On stage, there truely aren't many who can control the crowd the way he can, who he always leaves shouting for more.

Hailing from the same California town, Oxnard, that brought Lootpack and Madlib to the world, Roc 'C' was first introduced with his appearance on Oh No's (another Oxnard native) single "Move, Pt. 2" in 2004, produced by J Dilla. This led to a signing with Stones Throw Records, which released his debut album, All Questions Answered, in 2006.

DJ P-Trix, who will join them on the tour, began djing at the age of 12. His natural talent, dedication and genuine love for music quickly gained him recognition in the late 1990’s in the underground hip-hop community. P-Trix has performed internationally with hip-hop legends including Common, De la Soul, The Roots and Eminem. He was crowned the 1999 DMC USA Champion and placed 3rd in the DMC World Championship. Among his other titles, P-Trix was named the Dirtstyle DJ of the Year by the Invisible Skratch Piklz, as well as Blaze Magazine’s 1998 DJ Battle Champion. Recognized by many for his unrivaled beat-juggling skills, P-Trix’s highly-technical and innovative style has amazed fans across the world and gained the respect of hip-hop greats.
